This was our most amazing stay! One comment cannot summarize everything. HUGE THANK YOU for Wayan and the crew who helped us with everything needed to have the dream stay in the Villa Ulun Mertha. If you are curious which accommodation will tick all the boxes, this is the place to be. From the breakfast to private pool and the cleaniness of the Villa. 10/10 for everyone who is actively managing the property. We will come back for sure! 🙏

Our stay at Villa Ulun Mertha was truly unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, and got our lovely welcome drink we felt completely cared for and at home. A HUGE thank you to Wayan and Yanwas, who went above and beyond every single day. They were incredibly kind, funny, and so knowledgeable — helping us plan an entire day of amazing trips from the ricefields, monkey forest, coffee plantation, to all the hidden gems that weren’t super crowded. Wayan even joined us for the day, guiding us through the temple teaching us about Balinese culture, and making us laugh the whole time!! Their hospitality truly made our trip special. The villa itself is absolutely stunning — surrounded by serene rice fields, beautifully designed, and just a short walk (about 10 minutes) from the main road where you’ll find great restaurants, smoothie spots, and even a cheese-themed restaurant called Brie (a must try) Breakfast is freshly prepared and delivered at a time that suits your day, and the takeaway options are delicious — perfect for when you just want to relax and soak up the villa. They also helped arrange transportation to activities like ATV rides and rafting, which made everything effortless. In short, Villa Ulun Mertha is a small piece of heaven. Beautiful, peaceful, and run by the most wonderful people — we can’t wait to come back!

We want to share our most wonderful experience while staying in Bali – Villa Ulun Mertha! We have been in Bali for more than a month and a half and stayed in many different places, but Villa Ulun Mertha and its host Wayan clearly stand out with their exceptional quality. With his precision, politeness, and helpfulness, he creates the best atmosphere. The villa itself has a very good energy – it is quiet, perfect for sleeping, and there is plenty of space to spend time comfortably. The location is also SUPER – peaceful, yet very close to the town center. Right nearby you can find everything you might want: restaurants, live music, massages, and more. My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. We had the most amazing time & any requests were followed up promptly. The villa was super clean & had the freshest breakfast each morning. The staff were incredible and can’t wait to visit again! #1 best villa in Ubud.

Si l'on pourrait mettre 6/5 au service c'est bien ici. Nous avons été super bien accueilli. Le responsable est hyper sympathique et chaleureux. Tout est expliqué, tout est fait pour qu'on se sente au mieux. Le seul hic malgré tout est l'emplacement, bien loin des premiers commerces. Sans scooter c'est trop compliqué.

The place is clean and it has all the facilities we need, staff are extremely likable and they accommodate all of our requests. We tried different items for our 3 breakfasts and they were all delicious and fresh. Despite the location being a bit far from the main road, you can get services delivered easily (food, drink, even massage). As the villa is surrounded by rice fields, you will be waking up everyday peacefully. Oh yeah, the bed is really comfy too. Highly recommended.

I stayed in this Villa with my wife and one year old son over 4 days. I really don't have a bad thing to say about our stay. Everything was wonderful and the staff were amazing. They were more than happy to provide airport pick up despite a very unpleasant arrival time, the villa was impeccably clean, great amenities and the breakfasts were fantastic. They even made-up special baby friendly breakfasts for my son... without being asked. Their thoughtfulness and friendliness was a highlight of our trip. It was our first stop and the rest of our accommodation over the course of our trip (all at a similar price point) left us wanting and comparing back to the stay we had here. Things to note, yes it is a bit of a walk to the main drag of Ubud, but we loved that. Close enough to the popular areas to walk comfortably, and quite a pleasant walk at that, but far enough away that you can really relax. There were some renos going on next door but that can't be helped. We loved our stay and loved how well the staff looked after us. Would 100% recommend and would stay there again in a heartbeat.
