Just left Villa Madu after 1 week for our wedding with our family. First, the place is amazing. It is a beautiful property, only 10min walk from Ubud center. On top, the team is amazing. If you are looking for a intimate place, with hotel service but in a family style, this is the place. The food overall was fabulous. We had every dinner and breakfast at the villa and everything was delicious. The team is so nice and discrete, we really felt at home. Big big thanks to Dewa, Christine and the team for making this week so special!

Villa Madu felt like a small paradise tucked into the heart of Ubud. |The Nest—its circle of traditional bungalows—rests among whispering greenery, a tranquil pool, and a workout pavilion where time seems to be in slow motion. ||What truly made the stay unforgettable was the warmth of the people there. |Their smiles, their gentle gestures, their genuine care— |I arrived as a guest, but they made me feel like family. ||Beyond the villa, the landscapes unfolded like scenes from a dream. |The paddy fields from EAT, PRAY, LOVE shimmered even more beautifully in real life, |and Ubud’s lively eateries, just steps away, filled each day with delicious discoveries. ||We were delighted to learn that some of its staff performed in the mesmerizing Kecak and traditional dances— |a reminder that culture lives not only in places, but in people. ||A harmony of comfort, nature, culture, and a touch of cinematic wonder— |Villa Madu is a place that lingers in the heart long after you leave.
