Staying at this villa was an absolute dream! 🌴✨ From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the incredible location and the stunning view of the ocean — truly paradise. The property is just perfect: two separate houses with beautiful rooms (ideal for families with kids like ours), a HUGE pool where we spent hours swimming and relaxing, and a spacious territory that was perfect for our celebration. Everything felt private, safe, and designed for pure enjoyment. But what made our stay unforgettable was the staff — always smiling, caring, and available 24/7. Their attention, kindness, and professionalism made us feel so special every single day. We honestly didn’t want to leave. Our stay at The Sound of the Sea Villa was incredible — the villa is exactly like the photos, if not better. With 6 bedrooms spread across two separate buildings and an open-air living space connecting them, it offered both privacy and plenty of room to gather as a group. The location is quiet and relaxing, and while Bali can be chaotic, the villa felt like a peaceful retreat. You can walk down to charming beachfront cafes when the river is low enough — a nice little bonus if you want to explore nearby. But what truly sets this place apart is the staff. They’re the heart of the experience. Dewa and Raka helped us most of the time and they were amazing! Whether it’s a welcome drink, a refreshing cocktail by the pool, or a home-cooked feast by the villa chef — they make everything feel effortless and luxurious. I highly recommend booking your driver through the villa as well; it made getting around Bali — even all the way to Ubud — incredibly easy and stress-free. The traffic here really surprised us, a 30 min drive can easily turn into 1.5 hours. If you’re looking for a slice of calm in the middle of Bali’s buzz, this is it. We didn’t want to leave!

The Villa is right on the beach which was great as one of our party surfs. The Villa is in a quiet part of Canggu with the only noise from the Lyma Beach Bar (great food, drinks, service and location) and that wasn’t much. We ate at the Villa every day and meals were great. There are food packages but they will cook most things. Service was awesome right through the stay. We used 4 of the 5 bedrooms. The two we didn’t use aren’t that big and one with the outdoor bathroom not that functional especially in the wet season. We used the tennis court and that was fine. There is a small gym but only a treadmill which slips and bike and elliptical which didn’t work, all at least 25 years old. Also limited aircon and so very hot. Spa wasn’t working but pool was very good. Biggest suggestion is that there was no cinema room for family movies. We took a projector and firestick and the team set up a sheet over a wall divider. Overall would definitely recommend staying here.
