Leacott Retreats "HIDEAWAY" Luxury 3 Bedroom Pool Villa

Have been comung to Bali for years and have never ever been so disappointed aa my stay here. I am still suffering from illness from the concrete dust. Terribly noisy construction work from early till late. Worst owners have ever dealt with. Had to fight to get a refund for remaining days amd no compensation for the hell we were put through. Pool shaded all day and sunlounges arnt by the pool but out the front! Not impressed and never again. Have videos if u need to see what im talking about.

Great location, close to restaurants, beach

Well we just returned from 10 days at Hide-a-Way yesterday and our stay was really enjoyable (read fantastic and relaxing), as the name suggests it is a hidden gem down a side alley off double-six street. This review goes on a bit but it's only because it's all still all fresh in my head. The accommodation itself is very good, 3 large bedrooms - all very clean with their own en suites and air-conditioned, one of the bedrooms is only slightly smaller in size to the other but that didn't bother our daughter (21) at all. Our son (19) had the other bedroom (which has a bath - great for young children) and they both said they were great. Each room has it's own flat screen new Samsung TV. The main bedroom at the front was large as was the en-suite. We had no issues with any of the air-conditioning and we used them all the time. People need to do their research when looking for and booking accommodation which is what we did on Tripadvisor and decided this was a place that suited "our" needs. Let's be clear, this is a 3 bedroom small villa (some would call it an apartment but it's a bit more than that), the pool while not overly large didn't need to be, it suited the purpose 100% which is to cool off anytime of the day or night, it is very private and right next to the fridge with cold beers in it. The front garden area isn't super large either but then again it doesn't need to be, it is fit for purpose, a space between the front rooms and the alley, having said that it has an outdoor shower for when you come back from the beach(very private) and a new table and chairs and umbrella set which finishes it off nicely, all behind the front wall which provides 100% privacy. We had no issues with the pool pumps or water quality in the pool as some people seem to have experienced. We did read about the construction work on the new hotel behind the Villa (and could understand the frustration for the people that stayed there during this period and for the owners) but that had all stopped by the time we stayed and the hotel is open now (you should see the foyer), now and again you can hear workers coming and going but really that's about all. The kitchen area is outside but under cover next to the pool, clean drinking water is provided via a water fountain next to the fridge. The staff who came each day to clean were lovely and helpful. Leanne and Scott who own the Villa were very helpful and responsive to any of our questions, in fact gave us 50% credit on our failed attempt to stay there this time last year when the volcano was misbehaving and we had to cancel our trip altogether. So to summarise: Very clean with all modern needs - internet access is very good for surfing/social media etc Great location - 200m from Seminyak beach and a plethora of restaurants and lovely places to have breakfast right on the beach Double-six street has some 'ok' food places but the pick of the bunch is a cafe called "Sacred Ground", turn left onto double-six street and about 100m up on the right - best coffee in Bali and best value-for-money food - it's run by a Balinese family who are lovely. This accommodation suited "our needs" 100% - a grown up family of 4. Hope you enjoy your stay and I hope this review will assist.. Tony - outer east Melbourne
